Brett Munson turned in a
final round 70 to help the
University of North Alabama
post a 295 and finish tied
for third at the First
Federal Southeastern
Collegiate Tournament. UNA's
three-day, 884 total was 11
strokes behind host and
tournament winner Valdosta
State at 873. Florida
Southern was second with an
882 total and Georgia
College and State tied UNA
for third at 884 in the
18-team field. The
tournament included many of
the nation's premier NCAA
Division II golf programs.
UNA stood in sixth place
after the opening round and
moved up to fourth after
round two. In addition to
Munson's final round of 70,
Andrew Freeman shot 71 to
help lead the Lions. Munson
finished sixth overall at
218 and Freeman tied for
ninth individually with a
220 total.
North Alabama's Jake Greer
and Tyler Ekenberg tied for
17th at 223, and Alex Hirai
tied for 59th with a
three-round 231 total.
