JACKSON, Tenn. – North Alabama improved to 11-2-1 overall and 7-2 in the Gulf South Conference with a 2-1 road win at Union. UNA led early but needed a second goal in the 71
st minute to pull out the win.
North Alabama got on the scoreboard first when
Chloe Richards scored unassisted in the 11
th minute. It was Richards 24
th goal of the season and the 65
th of her career.
Union tied the match at 1-1 at the 64:03 mark when Honeye Heydari scored for the Bulldogs.
UNA got the game winner off the foot of
Paige Porter in the 71
st minute off an assist from
Margarida Sousa.
With the loss, Union falls to 4-10-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the GSC.
