FLORENCE, Ala. --
Eleanor Costello drove for a goal just 1:15 into the second overtime period to give the University of North Alabama a 2-1 Gulf South Conference women's soccer win over Mississippi College at the UNA Soccer Complex.
UNA scored the first goal of the match just 50 seconds into the contest and held that lead until the 60th minute when the Choctaws got a game-tying score. The match remained tied for another 41 minutes before Costello scored the winning goal.
With the win, UNA improves to 6-6 overall and 5-3 in the Gulf South Conference. Mississippi College suffered its first GSC loss and is now 9-3-1 overall and 6-1-1 in league play.

Haley Yarber scored her first collegiate goal just 50 seconds into the match after a perfect corner opportunity from
Kylie Huey. Yarber's header off Huey's kick gave UNA a 1-0 advantage.
At the 59:27 mark of the second half, Mississippi College got the equalizer as Lauren Smith scored her sixth goal off an assist from Sara Hodges.
Costello's goal came at the 101:15 mark. After UNA had been called for offsides numerous times during the match, Costello decided againt passing the ball and drive past MC defenders and goalkeeper Andrea McDonald for the game-winning goal.
UNA was out-shot 12 to eight in the match.
