COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Second ranked Columbus State scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the match and went on to a 3-0 win over 18th ranked North Alabama in the CSU Collegiate Invitational at the Walden Soccer Complex.
Cassandra Wade scored just 5:34 into the match off an assist from Taylor Marks to give Columbus State a 1-0 lead. The Cougars made it 2-0 at the 9:08 mark when Nicole Corcione scored off an assist from Olivia Jarrell.
The final score came in the 50th minute as Brooke Nail took a corner kick from Mandy Janowitz and put it in the net.
UNA was out-shot 16 to eight in the match.
Kate Webster had four saves and allowed three goals in her first start in goal for the Lions.
North Alabama plays Eckerd Sunday in the CSU Collegiate Invitational.
