FLORENCE, Ala. -- TeMia Pride and Kirsten Reilly comined on two first half goals for West Alabama and the Tigers held on for a 3-1Gulf South Conference women's soccer win over North Alabama at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
With the loss, UNA falls to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in GSC play. West Alabama improved to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the league.
Pride scored the first goal of the match for UWA at 27:30 of the first half off an assist from Reilly. Less than five minutes later, at 32:05, the roles were reversed as Reilly scored off an assist from Pride.
Trailing 2-0 at intermission, UNA got on the board at 56:09 mark when
Eleanor Costello scored on a penalty kick. It was her first goal of the season and the eighth of her career.
The Lions out-shot the Tigers 11 to four in the second half but couldn not get another goal.
The final score came at the 85:02 mark as Isabella Gill scored unassisted to make the final count 3-1.

Kate Webster had four saves while UWA's Issy Foster had three.
UNA travels to Spring Hill next Wednesday (Sept. 28) to face the Badgers at 3:30.
