LIONS DROP 5-1 SOCCER DECISION AT WEST FLORIDA

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The University of North Alabama allowed a season-high five goals and dropped a 5-1 Gulf South Conference women's soccer decision at West Florida.
 
With the loss, UNA is now 10-3-1 overall and 9-2-1 In the GSC. West Florida Improved to 10-3-1 overall and 7-2-1 In the GSC.
 
West Florida got goals In the 23rd and 24th minutes from Leonie Kneil and Kalist Atwal, respectively. A goal by Jessica Quigley at 35:24 extended It to 3-0 at Intermission.
 
UNA got on the board at 54:27 when Kylie Huey scored her 10th goal of the season off an assist from Shelby Wall. West Florida then answered with goals from Georgia Bailey and Robyn Herman to make the final count 5-1.
 
The Lions had previously only allowed two or more goals in a match three times this season, with three as the previous high.
 
UNA was out-shot 17 to 10.
 
Goalkeeper Shelby Thornton had six saves for the Lions.
