Payton Andrews and Megan Humphreys at No. 1, Nina Linke and Kalais Going at No. 2 and Sydney Flesch and Lee-Taylor Bishop at No. 3 doubles produced equally impressive 6-0 victories.

With the 1-0 overall lead, Linke, Andrews and Flesch had matching 6-0, 6-0 singles wins to clinch the match. Going, Elise Sickle, and Nicole Reilly matched their teammates with identical 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles.

"This team has worked hard and it feels good to get in the win column," said Bishop. "We've got to continue to improve and get ready for a tough Alabama A&M team coming in here next."

The UNA women will host Alabama A&M Sunday at 1 p.m. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at the UNA Varsity Tennis Courts. The men's team will travel to face Toledo on March 5 in a neutral-site match in Chattanooga, Tenn.
