BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of North Alabama women's cross country team finished 12th in a 17-team field at the 2021 UAB Blazer Classic.
 
The Lions posted a 269 team total on the 6k course.
 
Vanderbilt won the event with a 42 team total. Vandy was followed by New Orleans (89), Samford (123), Clemson (130), Kennesaw State (137), Memphis (151), Belmont (169), Emory (209), Western Kentucky (222), Lipscomb (251), UAB (267), UNA, Georgia State (325), Jacksonville State (408), Oglethorpe (487), Calhoun (509) and UT-Southern (513).
 
Janeth Jepkirui led all UNA runners, finishing 30^th individually with a time of 22:48.46.
 
UNA's Laura Mobley was 59^th (23:28.00), Beth Ann Tucker 60^th (23:29.07), Gracie Mathews 62^nd (23:30.92), Valerie Grosso 80^th (23:52.09), Ashlyn Anderson 84^th (24:06.77), Emma Kate White 85^th (24:07.49), Emily Daniel 86^th (24:08.13), Sharon Chepseba 87^th (24:09.34), Mandaline Thomas 97^th (24:38.70), Sage Betts 103^rd (24:57.20), Lillian Humphries 105^th (25:00.94) and Meghan McCarthy 129^th (26:18.63).
