DELAND, Fla. -- North Alabama held a brief lead in the fourth inning before Stetson rallied to post a 7-2 win over the Lions in the final game of a four-game, non-conference series between the ASUN Conference members.
UNA scored a run in the top of the fourth inning but Stetson answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame and never trailed again. The Hatters added three runs in the fifth, one in the sixth and one in the seventh. The Lions added a run in the top of the eighth but couldn't get any closer.
With the win, Stetson completed the four-game sweep of the Lions and dropped UNA to 0-5 overall.
UNA starter Will Habertsock (0-1) took the loss, allowing two runs on two hits over three complete innings. He walked three and struckout four.Â
Jacob James,
Austin Emener,
John Lundgren and
Austin Nichols also pitched for the Lions. James allowed two runs on two hits in one inning, Emener allowed two runs on one hit in an inning and a third of work and Lundgren allowed one run on three hits in one inning.
North Alabama's first run came in the fourth inning when
Grayson Throneberry homered to lead off the inning.
The Lions' final in the eighth scored when
Drew Hudson doubled and
Harris Kain singled him in.
UNA had six hits in the loss, led by Hudson with two.
North Alabama is scheduled to play at Tennessee Tech on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
