LIONS FALL 6-0 IN SERIES FINALE AT LIBERTY

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- North Alabama was held to just two hits and was shutout for the third straight game as Liberty downed the Lions 6-0 in ASUN Conference play.

With the loss, UNA is now 1-12 overall and 0-3 in ASUN play. Liberty improved to 10-5 overall and 3-0 in the ASUN.

Held to just five total hits and no runs in the series, UNA had a scoring opportunity in the ninth inning as Gerardo Miranda walked and Devne Daniel singled. The runners then advanced to second and third before the Flames got a strikeout to end the threat.

UNA's only other hit was a double by Reid Homan to leadoff the sixth, breaking up what was a perfect game to that point. He later stole a base but was stranded at third.

Liberty got single runs in six straight innings from the second to the seventh innings and out-hit UNA 10 to two.

Kyle Moore (0-3) started for UNA and went three and a third innings, allowing three runs on four hits. He also walked two batters.

Austin Emener pitched an inning and two thirds, allowing a run on two hits. Keegan Foge allowed two runs on four hits in an inning and a third. John Lundgren recorded the final two outs in the seventh inning and Austin Nichols pitched a scoreless eighth inning.

North Alabama hosts Tennessee Tech in a non-conference game on Tuesday at Mike Lane Field at 5:00 p.m.
