UNA WOMEN TAKE DOWN BELLARMINE TENNIS 7-0

FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama women's tennis team swept through doubles play before winning all of its singles matches in straight sets Sunday in a home ASUN Conference win over Bellarmine. The win gives the Lions a 5-9 record on the season and an even 1-1 mark in conference matches.
 
Playing short-handed, Bellarmine had to forfeit No. 3 doubles and No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches. A pair of 6-1 victories at the top two doubles spots game the Lions the early lead.
 
In singles play, the two forfeits gave UNA a 3-0 lead and Megan Humphreys' 6-1, 6-0 win at the No. 3 position clinched the overall win for the Lions.
 
North Alabama added wins at No. 4, No. 1 and No. 2 to clinched the 7-0 sweep.
 
UNA will continue ASUN play at Lipscomb at 10 a.m. on March 27.
