FLORENCE, Ala. -- Lipscomb got a goal in the final minutes of the first half and added another early in the second to take a 3-1 ASUN Conference soccer win over North Alabama at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
The Bisons got their initial goal in the 31st minute before UNA tied it less than three minutes later.
Lipscomb then added a goal with just over three minutes left in the half for a 2-1 lead and got an insurance goal at the 48:30 mark.
With the loss, North Alabama falls to 1-3 on the year and 0-1 in conference play. Lipscomb is now 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the ASUN.
Kelli Beller scored the first goal of the match for Lipscomb at the 30:55 mark on a penalty kick.
UNA answered with the second goal of the season from
Charlotte Kellett at the 33:21 mark, assisted by
Hannah Guthrie.
Evee Reeder gave LU the lead at 41:52 and Cami Rogers made it 3-1 at 48:30, assisted by Emily Patti.
UNA was out-shot 12-10 and UNA goalkeeper
Payton Yates had five saves.
North Alabama will play at Liberty on Sunday.
