ATHENS, Ga. -- University of North Alabama junior
Carter Goodwin of Hoover is just one stroke off the individual lead and the Lions are seventh as a team after two rounds at 2022 ASUN Men's Golf Championships at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
Goodwin fired a second round 66, equaling the lowest round ever fired by a Lion in a post-season tournament, to stand second individually at 137. He trails only Robbie Higgins of North Florida at 136 with rounds of 66 and 70.
As a team, UNA shaved six strokes off its first round total and turned in a 290 on Monday. The Lions are now 14-over-par at 582. North Florida leads the tournament with a five-under-par, 563 total.
UNA's
Jakob Falk Schollert is tied for 20th at 146, while
Frankie Wade is tied for 26th (148),
Dawson Garrett is tied for 46th (155) and
Thomas Regan is 52nd (159).
The tournament concludes with a final round set for Tuesday.
