RICHMOND, Ky. -- The University of North Alabama women's soccer team opened ASUN Conference play on the Thursday with a 0-0 draw with host Eastern Kentucky.
The Lions had 14 shots in the match, including seven shots on goal, but could never find the back of the net.
The Colonels had 14 shots of their own but UNA goalkeeper
Payton Yates recorded six saves to keep a clean sheet.
With the tie, UNA is now 3-2-4 overall and 0-0-1 in ASUN play. EKU is now 4-2-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the ASUN.
The Lions play at Bellarmine on Sunday at noon.
