FLORENCE, Ala. (July 11, 2024) – The University of North Alabama Department of Athletics has scheduled a Shoals Area Coaches Caravan for the community set for Thursday, July 18 from 5-7 p.m. at George's Steak Pit in Sheffield.
The Coaches Caravan is free admission and open to the public. Complimentary appetizers and a cash bar are available. Food is also available for purchase.
The caravan will allow UNA fans and members of the Shoals community to mingle and interact with various UNA coaches, including women's soccer head coach
Chris Walker, football head coach
Brent Dearmon, men's basketball head coach
Tony Pujol and others.
"Community engagement is one of our core pillars as a department, so the opportunity for our head coaches and staff to engage with Lion fans in The Shoals area is something we value and enjoy," said UNA Director of Athletics Dr. Josh Looney. "We look forward to mingling with various members of the community next week in Sheffield."
The program will begin at 5 p.m. George's Steak Pit is located at 1206 South Jackson Highway in Sheffield, Ala.
