FLORENCE, Ala. (September 17, 2024) – University of North Alabama Director of Tennis Olaya Garrido-Rivas and Men's Tennis Coach Aitor Reparaz announced the UNA men's tennis schedule for the 2024 fall season on Tuesday.

After a program-record season in the spring, Reparaz returns to prep the Lions for the 2025 regular season with a six-event slate. The schedule sees UNA competing throughout September, October and November with stops in Tennessee, Louisiana and California. North Alabama will also stay in-state with two trips to Birmingham, Ala.

North Alabama returns five of its six starters from last season with the addition of two freshmen.

ABOUT THE SCHEDULE

UNA's first event came at the Samford Invitational this past weekend, with the Lions battling against Samford, Georgia Southern and UAB in singles and doubles play. The Lions won 20 matches over the weekend.

The second tournament for the Lions will take place in Nashville, where the Lions will compete at the Belmont Fall Invitational from Sept. 27-29.

The October schedule will open with the ITA Regionals at LSU, with the challenge of competing against the top individual players from programs around the country in a tournament-style event. The Lions then make a return to Birmingham from Oct. 25-27 to compete at the BBC Invite, hosted by Samford.

November begins with the Cajun's Classic in Lafayette, La. from Nov. 1-3. The Lions end the fall season with the ITA Conference Masters Championships in San Diego, Calif. from Nov. 7-10.
