FLORENCE, Ala. (December 16, 2025) – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 Volleyball Academic All-District teams on Tuesday, with four Lions receiving the academic honor in Olivia Fenoff, Kinslee McGowan, Dylann Garner and Ava Martindale.
North Alabama continues its postseason award haul, earning four more honors to the four earned from the Atlantic Sun Conference. UNA sets a program record for total single-season postseason awards in the Division I era with eight. The distinctions also mark the first career CSC honors for all four players.
The four Lions also mark the most players to receive honors in a single season at the Division I level. The previous high was three in 2023 from former standouts Luana Bulara, Kennedey Johnson and Maggie Sullivan.
For Fenoff, she tallies her second academic honor of the season. The junior was named to the 2025 ASUN All-Academic team on Nov. 19 – earning the program's first selection to the team since 2021.
Fenoff appeared in all 30 matches for the Lions, serving as UNA's service-ace specialist. She led the team with 39 aces and ranked tied for fourth in the ASUN in total aces. Her 0.36 ace per set average was fifth in the conference. On the season, Fenoff totaled 166 digs , 22 assists, 17 kills and one block.
McGowan's breakout 2025 season sees her tally a second postseason honor. The Cleveland, Tenn. native secured her first career honor on Nov. 19 with a Third Team All-ASUN selection on Nov. 19.
She led the conference with 1,164 assists while second with 9.95 assists per set. McGowan set Division I program records in total assists and assists per set. The junior also earned the second-most ASUN Setter of the Week honors with four on Sept. 8, Sept. 22, Sept. 29 and Oct. 13.
McGowan's season totals included 274 digs, 109 kills, 36 blocks and 33 service aces.
Garner is recognized for her first postseason honor after a breakout year for the sophomore. Appearing in all 30 matches, the Franklin, Tenn. native finished with season totals of 231 kills (third-most on the team), 55 digs, 46 blocks, four assists, and three service aces.
Garner set multiple single-match career highs on the season. She had a 21-kill outing vs. SEMO on August 30, and a .522 attack percentage on 14 kills against West Georgia on Oct. 17.
Martindale earns her first postseason award in her first season with the Lions.
Her debut season saw totals of a team-high 394 digs with a 3.37 dig per set average. The junior finished ninth in total digs and tenth in digs per set in the ASUN. The libero registered double-digit digs in 20 matches, including setting her career high with 29 vs. North Florida on Nov. 2.
