FLORENCE, Ala. -- Lee University scored a goal in the 55th minute and held eighth ranked North Alabama scoreless for the first time this season as the Flames downed the Lions 1-0 in women's soccer. The loss by North Alabama snapped the Lions eight match win streak.
UNA is now 8-2 overall and 7-1 in the Gulf South Conference, while Lee improved to 7-3 and 6-1.
After a scoreless first half, Lee broke onto the board at the 54:37 mark as Summer Lanter got a foot on a high bouncing ball from Riley Engels and pushed it past UNA goalkeeper

UNA out-shot Lee 14 to 12 and had eight shots on-goal but could not score.
