Box Score DELAND, Fla. -- The University of North Alabama picked up its second ASUN Conference women's soccer win of the season, knocking off the Stetson Hatters 1-0 on the road.

The Lions got all the offense they would need when junior forward Shelby Wall of Auburn, Ala., scored in the tenth minute. It was Wall's seventh goal of the season and 21st of her career. Senior Margarida Sousa of Lisbon, Portugal assisted on the goal for her fifth assist of the year and 14th of her career.

The North Alabama defense held its fourth opponent of the year scoreless and limited Stetson to 10 total shots and five on-goal. UNA goalkeeper Shelby Thornton had five saves to preserve the win.

UNA is now 8-5 overall in its first season of Division I soccer and is 2-1 in ASUN play.

The Lions host Liberty on Friday, October 5 at 7 p.m. at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
