KENNESAW, Ga. -- Kennesaw State scored a goal late in the first half and added two insurance goals after intermission to take a 3-0 women's soccer win over North Alabama is the ASUN Conference opener for both schools.
With the loss, UNA is now 1-7-2 overall and 0-1 in the ASUN. Kennesaw State is 4-4 overall and 1-0 in the ASUN.
The Owls first goal came from Ebony Clarke at the 35:02 mark of the first half. Kendall Higgs added a goal in the 51st miunte to make it 2-0 and Clarke scored her second goal of the evening at the 62:51 mark.
UNA was out-shot 15 to 11 in the match and the Lions had three shots on goal.
Payton Yates recorded four saves for UNA.
North Alabama plays at Liberty at noon on Sunday.
