FLORENCE, Ala. -- Playing what head coach
Chris Walker called his team's most complete game of the season, the University of North Alabama picked up its first ASUN Conference women's soccer win of the season in a 3-0 shutout of Kennesaw State at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
UNA held a 1-0 lead at intermission and added two second half goals for the win.
The Lions improved to 4-6-5 overall and 1-4-2 in the ASUN.Kennesaw State falls to 4-7-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the ASUN.
"It was a complete team performance," said Walker. "We talked before the match about playing with composure and we did that tonight. We had a lot of energy and we needed it to beat a really good Kennesaw State team. I thought Olivia (Anderson), Hope (Lensing) and Alice (Bussey) were all fantastic.

Payton Yates recorded four saves on the way to her eighth shutout of the season.
Alice Bussey scored UNA's first goal at the 32:59 mark of the first half, assisted by
Olivia Anderson and
Kate Wiseman.
Bussey then added her second goal of the night and sixth of the season at the 57:02 mark, this time assisted by Anderson and
Hope Lensing.
The final goal came from Anderson at 66:45 off a pass from Malin Anderson.
North Alabama out-shot Kennesaw State 21 to eight in the win.
North Alabama hosts Jacksonville State Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
