RATZLOFF NAMED ASUN DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ATLANTA, Ga., – Officials with the ASUN Conference have named North Alabama's Ella Ratzloff the league's Defensive Player of the Week. The graduate transfer from Rhode Island recorded 74 digs in three matches last week as the Lions went undefeated at the UNA Volleyball Classic.
 
The libero reached the 30-dig plateau in two different matches, including a season-high 31 digs against New Orleans. Her performance vaulted her from seventh to first in the ASUN standings in both total digs (97) and digs per-set (5.71) for the season.
 
For the week, Ratzloff averaged 6.73 digs per-set as UNA defeated Grambling State, Lamar and New Orleans to move to 5-0 on the year. She added 11 assists and two service aces.
