Josh Willingham Hitting Facility
The Josh Willingham Hitting Facility opened in the Fall of 2010 as the latest addition to the University of North Alabama baseball facilities at Mike Lane Field.Â
The facility was made possible by a donation from former UNA baseball All-American  and current Washington National outfielder Josh Willingham and his family. The facility is 150 feet long and 20 feet wide and includes three batting tunnels and three tee hitting areas. It was completed in time for the Lions to use as part of their 2010 Fall workouts.Â
Â
"It has already been a huge asset for us," said UNA Head Baseball Coach Mike Keehn. "Our facilities have improved so much over the last five years and this is another great enhancement.
"Having this come from Josh and his family makes it even more special. It just show the quality individual that he is, that he is willing to give back to the UNA program. It means a lot coming from him. To have accomplished everything that he has and be an established big-leaguer and still come back and invest in our program means a lot to all of us at UNA."
