LION VOLLEYBALL TEAM HOLDS NO. 24 AVCA RANKING

LEXINGTON, Ky., – The University of North Alabama volleyball team remained in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Top 25 Poll for the third straight week. After posting a 2-0 showing on the week to improve to 12-1 on the year, the Lions remained at No. 24 in the rankings.
 
Concordia-St. Paul again collected 48 first-place votes for a unanimous score of 1,200 points. Palm Beach Atlantic rose one spot to No. 15, while fellow Sunshine State Conference teams Tampa (No. 19) and Florida Southern (No. 21) held the same ranking as the previous week.
 
West Florida rounded out the only other ranked members of the South Region. The Argonauts climbed to No. 22 and join UNA as the only two ranked teams from the Gulf South Conference.
 
After playing at West Georgia Tuesday night, UNA will return home for its next two matches. The Lions host UAH Thursday at 7 p.m. and Mississippi College Saturday at 1 p.m.
