MEN’S TENNIS FALLS 6-1 AT UAB

BIRMINGHAM – UAB won the doubles point, then scored points in five of the six singles matches to record a 6-1 home victory over the University of North Alabama men's tennis team on Thursday. With the loss, UNA falls to 1-8 on the season.

The Blazers swept through doubles play before clinching the match with singles win at the No. 2, No. 6 and No. 1 spots.

Jamie Bixby picked up the singles point for North Alabama. The freshman from Brentwood, England recorded a 6-4, 7-6 win at No. 5 singles.

UNA will play Mississippi Valley State in Montgomery on March 14. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
