UNA MEN 12th AT NORTH ALABAMA SHOWCASE

HUNTSVILLE – Evan Allen finished 29^th to lead the University of North Alabama men's cross country team to a 12^th-place finish at the North Alabama Showcase on Friday at John Hunt Park in Huntsville. The University of Alabama won the event, which served as a preview for the 2021 NCAA Regional and featured multiple regionally- and nationally-ranked teams.

Allen, a sophomore from Henderson, Tenn., recorded a time of 25:19.97 at the 8K race. UNA's James Hibbard (25:50.07) was 51^st, followed by Brandon Lee (26:04.19) at 68^th, Kelvin Kiplagat (26:08.68) at 71^st and Connor Jackson (26:15.75) at 77^th.

UNA will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to run in the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival on Oct. 2. The event is hosted by the University of Arkansas.
