MONTEVALLO, Ala. -- The University of North Alabama men's cross country team finished fourth in a field of 18 schools at the 2022 UAB Blazer Classic.

Led by Evan Allen, who broke his own school-record 8k for the third time this season, the Lions had a final team total of 98. Mississippi College was first at 25, followed by Memphis (55) and Emory (86).

 Allen covered the 8k course in a time of 24:08.60 to finish sixth overall and lead 12 UNA runners in the race.

Fedrick Kipyego finished 11th (24:30.70), James Hibbard was 22nd (25:07.80), Brandon Lee was 27th (25:15.10), Connor Jackson was 33rd (25:33.30), Kelvin Kiplagat was 48th (26:02.80), Noah Bonsall was 81st (26:58.80), Jake Moore 85th (27:08.80), Jackson Hamlin 87th (27:20.10), Mason Schrader 90th (27:29.40), Charles Morris 94th (27:34.00) and Adam Nipper 114th (28:21.00)
