eirATLANTA (December 21, 2023) – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced the honorees of the 2023-2024 Fall Winners of Life team on Thursday, naming graduate cross country runner
Brandon Lee as the representative from the University of North Alabama.
The team is comprised of one student-athlete from each of the 12 member institutions and honors those who display excellence on and off the playing surface.
Lee has been a four-year team captain for UNA's cross country program, wrapping up his graduate season with 26 career race appearances. He ran in six meets this season, including a third place finish at the UNA Invitational to help the Lions win the team trophy by three points. Lee also had a 38th place finish in the ASUN Championships and a 108th place finish at the NCAA Regionals.
The Maylene, Ala. native ranks among UNA's all-time top-10 fastest runners in the 10K, 7K and 5K. He also has two of the top five finishes among UNA runners in the ASUN Championship meet since the Lions moved up to Division I in 2018.
In the classroom, Lee is a graduate student majoring in sports management and maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The Winners for Life team honors a campus citizen that is respected as one who shares and/or demonstrates the ASUN Core Values: Education, Honesty, Student-Athlete Experience, Fairness, Health, Ambition, Respect, Diversity, Inclusion, Leadership, Responsibility and Sportsmanship. To be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must have competed in the current academic year in an ASUN-sponsored sport and be in good academic standing at their university.
