FLORENCE, Ala. -- For the second time in 16 days, the University of North Alabama men's tennis team downed Jacksonville State in ASUN Conference action, this time 4-1 at the UNA Tennis Complex .

The Lions defeated the Gamecocks 4-3 in Jacksonville back on March 20 in a thriller that came down to a third set win by UNA's Lachlan Brain at No. 1 singles.

Brain delivered again Wednesday as his 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles over JSU's Xavier Sarda Marti gave UNA the deciding point.

North Alabama took the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2, then added singles wins from Fedrricos Scotuzzi at No. 6, Nazar Fedoryshyn at No. 4 and Brain at No. 1.

JSU's Alin Fatu earned the Gamecocks only point with a win at No. 3.

The North Alabama men are now 8-9 overall and 3-4 in ASUN play. Both are the most wins by a UNA men's team on the Division I level.
