CONWAY, Ark. (October 24, 2024) – Fresh off a bye week, the University of North Alabama football team will travel to Central Arkansas on Saturday for a United Athletic Conference showdown in Conway, Ark. Central Arkansas also enters off a bye week.
The Lions and Bears are tied for second in the standings with just one conference loss. UCA enters 5-2 overall and 2-1 in UAC play, while the Lions are 3-5 overall and 3-1 in the UAC. UNA is on a three-game win streak with wins over West Georgia, Utah Tech and No. 10 Abilene Christian. The Bears fell to ACU three weeks ago, but bounced back with a 34-33 win over UWG before the bye week.
Here are the top things to know for Saturday's game.
1. KICKOFF: UNA and Central Arkansas will kickoff at Estes Stadium at 4 p.m.
2. TICKETS: General admission tickets are available for as low as $20 and can be purchased
at this link. There are also youth and senior discount rates and group rates for groups of 10-30 fans. For more information, the UCA ticket office can be reached at 501-852-2234. Gates open two (2) hours prior to kickoff.
3. PARKING: Lots 1-3 are reserved lots and are only accessible with appropriate credentials. The remaining lots near Estes Stadium are free general admission lots. Access to the large lot just west of the Farris Center, and other lots surrounding Bear Stadium (baseball) just to the north of the Farris Center are accessible via College Ave.

4. MUGSHOTS WATCH PARTY: Fans who are not making the trip to Conway are encouraged to join our watch party at Mugshots in Downtown Florence. The broadcast will begin at 4 p.m. Mugshots is the official UNA Watch Party location for away football games this season.
5. WATCH ON ESPN+: Saturday's game will stream on ESPN+ with J.B. Brazeal and Wess Moore on the call. Fans can tune in at 4 p.m.

8. SERIES HISTORY: Saturday will mark the 23rd all-time meeting between North Alabama and Central Arkansas. UNA leads the all-time series with a 15-7 record. Neither team has won more than four straight in this series. Central Arkansas won the last two matchups in 2022 and 2023. UNA seeks its first win over UCA since 2005.
9. DEEPER DIVE INTO THE SERIES: UNA and UCA started the series in 1951 and would later become Gulf South Conference opponents in 1993. The Lions and Bears played every season from 1993-2005 as UCA moved up to FCS. The 2005 season was the most interesting in the series, as UCA won the regular season matchup in double overtime (29-26). The Lions got revenge in the Division II quarterfinals, winning 41-38 in another overtime thriller ended by a walk-off field goal by Yuta Fakuda.
10. COMING BACK HOME: UNA has three players from the state of Arkansas on this year's roster, and all three will be making the trip to Conway. This includes redshirt sophomore running back
Travelle Anderson from Gosnell, who transferred to UNA from Central Arkansas. Redshirt freshman tight end
Amarie Rogers will also suit up, who came to UNA from Maumelle. True freshman
Drake Fowler of Little Rock will also suit up for the first time this season and will wear No. 30. Fowler was the 7A Defensive Player of the Year in Arkansas last season at Bryant High School.
11. LIONS AGAINST ARKANSAS SCHOOLS: UNA has played 124 games against a team from the state of Arkansas, most of which came as members of the GCS. The Lions are 83-41 against the state, including games with Arkansas State, Arkansas Tech, Arkansas-Monticello, UCA, Harding, Henderson State, Ouachita Baptist and Southern Arkansas. Central Arkansas has been UNA's only opponent from the state since moving to Division I in 2018. Prior to that, UNA played Harding in 2012.
12. UNA LUNCH HOUR ON WEDNESDAYS AT 306 BBQ: Fans are reminded to head over to 306 Barbecue in downtown Florence every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. during football season for the UNA Lunch Hour.
