ATLANTA (June 13, 2024) – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced its honorees of the 2023-24 Spring Winners for Life team on Thursday, naming University of North Alabama graduate beach volleyball player Paula Klemperer as an honoree.
The team is comprised of one student-athlete from each of the 11 remaining member institutions. This distinction honors student-athletes who display excellence in academics, athletics and community engagement.
Klemperer has had a storied six-year career with the UNA beach volleyball team, as she is currently the winningest individual in program history. Klemperer owns an 83-39 record in 124 career matches, including a program-best 65 wins from the top flight.
The Hildesheim, Germany native was a first team All-ASUN selection, going 22-9 this season alongside teammate Taylor Seney. Last season, Klemperer and Seney set the school record with 23 wins at No. 1.
In the classroom, Klemperer was named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-American At-Large Third Team — the first All-American in program history. She has also earned Academic All-ASUN honors three straight seasons.
Klemperer joins teammate Mackenzie Martin as past honorees of the ASUN Winner for Life honor, as Martin won it in Spring 2023.
