FLORENCE, Ala. (August 9, 2024) – Taymar Sales U. recognized University of North Alabama General Manager of Ticket Sales & Operations Ben Bond as their 2024 "Salesperson of the Year," announced Friday.
 
Bond has served this position for UNA since 2022.
 
"Ben has grown tremendously in our system and become a great leader not only in Florence, but to his peers at Taymar," said Taymar President Joe Rickert. "He is consistently looking for ways to deliver excellent customer service, grow revenue and push the envelope in innovative ways on behalf of our clients at North Alabama. We can't think of a more fitting and well-deserved award to recognize his effort and results in Florence."
 
Taymar Sales U has been working with North Alabama Athletics to oversee all ticket sales and ticket operations since 2022. Ben was nominated for this award by Taymar Sales U. senior leadership, standing out as a leader among his 26 peer leaders and nearly 80 colleagues.
 
"Ben is so deserving of this national honor," said UNA Director of Athletics Dr. Josh Looney. "He's passionate about his alma mater and the experience our community has each time they step foot on campus for an athletic event. That passion has translated into significant ticket sales increases at UNA, but those numbers are rooted in positive relationships and pride for the University. Ben is an important member of our team who excels beyond his everyday role in the athletic department."
 
Bond graduated from UNA in 2020 with a degree in sport management.
 
"I am extremely proud of the leader Ben has grown into for our North Alabama team and winning Salesperson of The Year." added Taymar Senior Vice President Alexis Campanella. "He goes above and beyond to serve his alma mater, grow his colleagues and share his passion for Taymar and UNA."
 
Prior to working at UNA full time, he spent three years working in minor league baseball as an intern for the Rocket City Trash Pandas and as an account executive for the Memphis Redbirds and Tennessee Smokies.
 
"Ben Bond and Taymar Sales have been a breath of fresh air that was needed in our ticket office," said UNA Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations Dr. Janae Lyde. "Ben came in 2022 with great ideas to be innovative and creative in that space, and we have truly seen the fruits of his labor. He has been an outstanding individual to work with, and he is more than deserving of this award that he has earned."
