AUBURN, Ala. (December 11, 2025) – In a joint announcement, the University of North Alabama football program and Auburn University announced a future matchup at Jordan-Hare Stadium for 2032. 
 
Last year, UNA announced a game with Auburn for the 2028 season. The game was previously announced for September but has since moved to later in the season.
 
Future games between UNA and Auburn:

• November 4, 2028
• October 30, 2032

"Adding a second future game with Auburn is an exciting opportunity for the University of North Alabama," said UNA Director of Athletics Dr. Josh Looney. "Opportunities to face premier in‑state opponents are invaluable for our program, and we appreciate Auburn's commitment to these matchups by extending a second invitation to visit Jordan‑Hare Stadium."
 
Barring any new in-state opponents the next two years, Auburn will become the 10th in-state opponent UNA has faced all-time.
 
Currently, Jordan-Hare Stadium will be the largest venue that North Alabama has visited in the program's rich history with an 88,043 seating capacity. In 2011, UNA played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which held 80,000 fans at the time. In 2023, the Lions played against No. 4 Florida State at Doak Campbell Stadium in front of a sold-out crowd of 79,560 fans.
 
UNA head coach Brent Dearmon has ties to Auburn, as he served as an analyst there in 2013 and 2014. Auburn was Dearmon's first collegiate coaching stop following his time as head coach at B.C. Rain High School.
 
"This is an enormous deal for UNA football," said Dearmon, who enters his fourth season at UNA in 2026. "It was an honor to be on staff at Auburn in 2013 and 2014, and we are appreciative of the leadership at Auburn for giving us the opportunity and national stage."
