NOTES

SCOUTING THE LIONS:
North Alabama split its two-dual weekend last time out, claiming a 4-3 win at Kennesaw State on Feb. 14. Five Lions tallied wins led by senior Lachlan Brain and junior Alberto Altur with a singles and doubles victory. Sophomores Samu Dominguez and Satoru Nakajima earned respective doubles wins, and freshman Benjamin Meyers provided the clinching win in singles. The Lions have excelled in doubles with a 50 percent win rate with all seven players sporting at least one win. Altur and Brain lead the team with four, followed by three from Dominguez and Nakajima. All seven Lions have at least one singles win, led by Dominguez and Altur with three.

ALL ALBERTO, ALL THE TIME: Altur earned the team's first Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week this season on Tuesday, Feb. 17. A three-win weekend at Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State helped secure the honor, taking home two doubles victories and a singles win. The honor marks his third of his career after tallying two during the Spring 2025 season.

WORKING FROM HOME:
The Lions have had a true home-court advantage throughout the past two seasons, accumulating a 17-1 record in Florence since the 2024 Spring season. UNA went 7-1 in 2024 but were perfect with a 10-0 mark in 2025. The unbeaten home record in 2025 helped propel the program to its first-ever regular-season ASUN championship.

SCOUTING AUSTIN PEAY: Austin Peay enters the weekend with a 2-3 record. Last time out, the Governors triumphed over Southern Indiana with a 4-3 road win on Feb. 14. Austin Peay returns three players from Spring 2025 who combined for 24 doubles victories and 20 singles wins. Glen Arnet is the top returner with a combined 24 wins from Spring 2025.

SERIES HISTORY: The Lions and Governors meet for the 22nd time in the all-time series. North Alabama leads the series, 14-7, and looks to claim a third-straight win over the Governors. UNA swept Austin Peay in the last two meetings in 2024 and 2025.

SCOUTING TENNESSEE STATE: Tennessee State looks to claim its first win this season, sporting a 0-5 record currently. The 2025 Spring season saw the Tigers go 7-13 with a 3-1 mark in the Horizon League. Tennessee State made it to the semifinals of the conference tournament, defeating IU Indianapolis, 4-0, in the quarterfinals. Taj Hibbert is the lead returner for the Tigers after earning eight singles wins and five doubles in Spring 2025.

SERIES HISTORY: North Alabama goes for its first all-time win in the second meeting. Tennessee State won the first meeting with a 4-3 victory on Feb. 24, 2020.
