JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 31, 2026) – University of North Alabama junior Alberto Altur was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Altur totaled his fourth-career ASUN weekly honor after tallying three wins against Georgia Southern and Stetson. It also marks the second this season for Altur after winning UNA's first weekly honor of the season on Feb. 17. He was 2-0 in doubles on the week with partner Izan Orgiles and picked up a key singles victory against Stetson to help defeat the Hatters 4-3 on the road.

The junior opened his week with a top-flight 6-2 doubles win against Georgia Southern's Gregoire Delattre and Davis Taylor. His second doubles win came vs. Stetson's Kartik Mandla and Alexandre Verlaguet in a 6-2 victory.

Altur's lone singles triumph was in a 6-4, 6-4 singles victory from flight two against Stetson's Christian Kuehne.

The Lions will host Southern Miss on Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. in Florence, Ala.
