Biography
2019 BEACH: Carnley played in 24 matches during UNA's first-ever beach volleyball season in 2019...she posted a 16-6 record, including a 14-3 mark at the No. 4 position with teammate Libby Jump...finished the season winning seven of their last 10 matches...went 7-1 in ASUN play, including a perfect 5-0 mark at the No. 4 spot...was an ASUN All-Academic selection.
UNA INDOOR: She also played three seasons for the UNA indoor volleyball team...played in 104 matches, including 21 starts during her junior season...recorded 660 digs and 55 assists...had a career-high 19 digs on Nov. 7, 2017 against UAH.
HIGH SCHOOL: She prepped at Keller High School for coach Sylvia Ortiz...played libero and helped lead the team to consecutive playoff berths in 2014 and 2015...set a single-match school record for digs during her senior year before finishing the season with the school record in digs per match...received back-to-back All-District honors and was named District MVP in 2015.
PERSONAL: Her full name is Ava Gabrielle Carnley. She is the daughter of Steve and Lorrie Carnley. She was born on February 15, 1997 and has one sister, Elle. She is majoring in nursing at UNA.
