UNA 2015: Played in all 12 games in 2015 with six starts...Started the final five games of the season on the defensive line...Finished fourth on the team in tackles with 42 total stops, 23 solos and 19 assists...Led the team with nine tackles for loss of 34 yards...4.5 sacks for 21 yards...Also forced a fumble...UNA 2014: Started nine games on the defensive front for the Lions and played in all 11...Finished fifth on the team in tackles with 46, including 22 solos...Four tackles for loss of 31 yards and three sacks for 30 yards...Broke up two passes...Season-high seven tackles against West Georgia, Shorter and Valdosta State in the playoffs...UNA 2013: Played in 10 games with starts against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Valdosta State…Finished the season with 12 solo tackles and nine assists for 21 total stops…One tackle for loss of four yards, two pass break-ups and one fumble recovery…HIGH SCHOOL: Played center, defensive end, nose guard, tackle and guard at Lauderdale County High School under head coach Bob Grisham… Helped lead the Tigers to state playoffs from 2010-2012 and to the state semifinals in 2012…Winningest senior class in school history with 33 wins in four years…Named all-county four years, all-area four years, first-team defensive player of the year in 2012 and first- team offensive lineman of the year for 2012…Started in most games at LCHS with  37…On the A/B honor roll his entire high school career…300 career tackles, 20 career sacks, one interception, 12 forced fumbles and one touchdown scored…PERSONAL: Full name is Tyler Lorenzo Smith…Born on March 5, 1995…Son of Joe and Linda Smith and has three siblings…Major is Exercise Science.
