Women's Cross Country History
UNA WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY HISTORY, 1984-2021
The women's cross country program at UNA began in 1984 under the direction of Eddie Rivers.
The UNA women won back-to-back Gulf South Conference titles in 1987 and 1988.
Emry McKay of Huntsville has been the top individual runner in UNA cross country history, earning three All- GSC, three All-South Region and three All-America honors. She competed in the NCAA Division II National Championships for three years straight as an individual. In 2010 she was selected for the GSC Women’s Cross Country Team of the Decade
