Biography
UNA 2015-16: Groce played in all 27 games for UNA as a true freshman...she had 13 starts at guard...was 19-of-55 from the floor and 11-of-23 from the free throw line with 49 points scored...averaged 1.5 rebounds per game and added seven assists and 15 steals on the year...scored a season-high nine points against Arkansas Tech on Nov. 24.
HIGH SCHOOL: SHE played for coach JB Ripley at Munford High School...garnered all-area and all-county honors four straight seasons for the Lions…grabbed the most rebounds and was named the team’s offensive MVP as a junior…averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals per game…also an All-State honoree in softball.
PERSONAL: Her full name is Kierra Tashay Groce. She is the daughter of Rodney and Freida Groce. She was born on December 21, 1996 and has one sister, Tanayshia, and one brother, Rodney. She is majoring in exercise science at UNA.
