Biography
UNA 2018-19: Panetti started all 30 games for the Lions last season...she earned second team All-ASUN honors after averaging 15.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game...finished the season third in the league in scoring and second in field goal percentage after connecting on 186-of-297 (62.6 percent) shots from the floor to set a single-season UNA record...also set a school record with 51 blocked shots on the year, moving her career total to a school-record 72 blocks heading into her senior season...was a two-time ASUN Player of the Week...reached double figures in scoring 25 times, including eight games with at least 20 points...had a season-high 29 points on Dec. 6 at home against Martin Methodist...was also an ASUN All-Academic selection.
UNA 2017-18: She was one of four players to start all 29 games for the Lions in 2017-18...was second on the team in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game...was a first team All-Gulf South Conference selection after leading the league with a 59.8 percent field goal percentage...was also named GSC Player of the Week on Feb. 6...reached double figures in scoring 25 times, including eight games with at least 20 points and a career-high 32 on Nov. 11 against Lynn...was second on the team with 209 rebounds and recorded five double-doubles...also had 15 assists, 26 steals and 28 blocked shots.
OTHER COLLEGE: She played her freshman season at Division I New Mexico for coach Mike Bradbury...played in eight games, averaging 1.3 rebounds per contest and had a season-high 12 points on Jan. 29 against Northern New Mexico.
HIGH SCHOOL: She played at Tomplins High School for coach Tamatha Ray...averaged 16.0 points per game and was a 2016 McDonald’s All-American Nominee…helped lead the team to the quarter-final round of the Class 6A playoffs...scored 537 points and averaged 13 rebounds per game as a senior...was a District 16-6A first team selection and all-district pick…Also earned Academic All-State honors…was named the SBISD Tournament MVP, made the Katy and Masfield all-tournament teams and was the Houston Chronicle Athlete of the Week twice...was a Greater Houston Area All-Star selection and was named to the TABC Region 3 and All-Region Team.
PERSONAL: Her full name is Brittany Lynne Panetti. She is the daughter of Steve and Donna Panetti. She was born on April 15, 1998 and has two brothers, Alex and Collin. She is majoring in marketing at UNA.
