Biography
UNA 2016-17: Holden played in 27 games last season with 11 starts...she averaged 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game...shot 31.9 percent from the floor and hit 6-of-34 three-point attempts...was 11-of-13 from the free throw line...had nine assists, 15 steals and a blocked shot on the season...had a season-high eight points twice on the year.
UNA 2015-16: She saw action in all 27 games for the Lions as a true freshman in 2015...started the first 14 games of the season and averaged five points and 3.3 rebounds per contest...shot 39.5 percent from the floor, including a 16-of-53 showing from three-point range...also hit 64.9 percent from the free throw line...added 20 assists, six blocked shots and 21 steals while averaging 21.6 minutes of playing time per game...scored 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds during a win over Tuskegee on Nov. 19 at Flowers Hall.
HIGH SCHOOL: She played at Briarcrest Christian High School in Eads, Tenn., for coach Lee Smith…was a 2014 TWSA All-State selection and has also received all-region and all-district honors…averaged13.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and three assists per game.
PERSONAL: Her full name is Elise Marie Holden. She is the daughter of Cody and Robin Holden. She was born on October 2, 1996 and has two brothers, Joshua, Jacob, and two sisters, Kara, and her twin Brynn who also plays basketball on the UNA women’s team. She is majoring in nursing at UNA.
