UNA 2019-20: Bond saw action in all 30 games, including one start as a true freshman for the Lions last season...she reached double figures in scoring 12 times and averaged 8.6 points per game...was named ASUN Conference Freshman of the Week and Newcomer of the Week once...shot 40.6 percent from three-point range and knocked down 83 percent of her free throw attempts...added 13 blocks, 23 steals and 24 assists on the year...scored a career-high 26 points on Dec. 21 during an 85-67 win over SIUE.
HIGH SCHOOL: She played at Blackman High School for coaches Jessica Jackson and Wendi Scott...scored over 1,000 career points for the Blaze, who posted a 32-1 record during her junior season...was a two-time district all-tournament selection...set a school record for made three-pointers in a season as a senior after averaging 13.9 points per game...shot 50 percent from the floor in 2018-19 and added a 39 percent shooting percentage from three-point range...was a 2019 regional all-tournament pick and was named the BCAT/TACA MVP.
PERSONAL: Her full name is Jaida Mariah Lee Bond. She is the daughter of Albert and Cathey Bond. She was born on July 6, 2001 and has three sisters. She is majoring in biology at UNA.
