Ashley Fowler joined the University of North Alabama women’s golf program in 2021 as a graduate assistant coach.

This is the first coaching opportunity for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte alum who graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business, a Bachelor of Art in German, and minors in American Studies and Psychology. Her cumulative 3.95 GPA earned her a spot on the Chancellor’s List every semester.

She was also a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar and a three-time recipient of the Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal.

Fowler was a member of the UNCC’s Inaugural women's golf team in 2017. In the program's first three years of its existence, the team reached a ranking of #7 in the nation and captured three team tournament wins.

Fowler improved her scoring average every year by at least two strokes and had a 72.11 scoring average in her final season, which earned her the title of 2020 Conference USA Player of the Year.

During her career at UNCC, she had a total of 20 rounds of par or better, four Top-5 finishes, seven Top-10 finishes, and multiple C-USA Golfer of the Week titles. She also holds the record at UNCC for lowest single round of 66 (-5). During this stellar collegiate career, she climbed as high as #34 in Golfweek Collegiate rankings and inside the Top 100 in World Amateur Golf Ranking.

Fowler was born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany by her parents, Teal and Ursula Fowler. She has two older brothers Dominik and Cooper and two dogs back home. Ashley loves animals, enjoys spending time outside with friends and traveling around the world.
