Tori Smith is in her second season as assistant women's golf coach at North Alabama.

A Killen, Ala., native and graduate of Brooks High School, Smith played collegiately at the University of West Alabama where she earned All-Gulf South Conference honors in 2013-14 and was named GSC co-Freshman of the Year.

A graduate of West Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts, Smith got her first coaching experience helping out in junior clinics with the legendary Chris Burns, a pioneer of the junior golf program in Ala­bama. She also volunteered with other junior clinics while she was a student in college.

Smith then helped guide North Alabama through its first season of women's golf in 2018-19.

As a player, Smith was a member of the first women's golf team at West Alabama and she led the Tigers with an average score of 82 as a freshman. She led the program to its first tournament win in program history at The Buccaneer Tournament held by Christian Brothers, finishing seventh individually. She also carded her best single round score of 78 in the final round of the GSC Tournament and finished ninth, missing a spot on the all-tournament team by one stroke.

While at Brooks, Smith played on the golf team from 2007 to 2013, earning all-state honors in 2013. She was also named the TimesDaily Golfer of the Year and was a member of the National Honor Society.

The daughter of Tracey and Darin Smith, she has two siblings.
