After spending the better part of three years enhancing the broadcast and digital landscapes as a student worker, Bradyn Rogers officially joined the North Alabama Athletic Department on June 1, 2026 as the Athletics Technology Specialist.
Rogers is a multi-skilled technological professional with a passion for Esports. He served as the UNA Esports President in 2023-24 and again in 2025-26. He was also vice president in 2022-23 and the team lead for Rocket League for four seasons. This passion ultimately led him to the athletic department, where his fandom and expertise came into play.
Some major projects Rogers has taken lead on or been involved in include the launch of Roar Lions Productions, content creation and management of the videoboard software at UNA's athletic events and serving as the liaison between UNA's IT and athletics staff. In addition to these projects, Rogers assisted with over 100 ESPN+ productions as a student assistant, including directing, producing, operating replay equipment, cameras and audio and helping with setup and teardown. He also assisted the sports information and creative media departments with live video clipping at events and the use of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics.
Perhaps the pinnacle of Rogers' projects has been the launch of a live booth cam for athletic broadcasts, which has been implemented for games, coaches shows, media events and weekly update shows. These booth cams provide fans an all-access perspective from within the athletic department and allows fans to watch what goes on inside the press box. As part of the Roar Lions Productions umbrella, the live audio streams or booth cams can be accessed on the UNA Athletics Facebook and Twitter (X) pages, YouTube, Twitch, RoarLions.com and the Varsity Network app.
In addition to his roles with the athletic department, Rogers was a graduate assistant for the UNA Sport and Recreation Management department and a student worker with UNA Guillot University Center (GUC) Management and Operations. As a student, he was also a UNA Spencer College of Education and Human Sciences Ambassador.
Rogers graduated from UNA in May 2024 with a degree in sport management. He obtained his master's degree in the same major in May 2026. He is a Florence native and lettered on the football team at Rogers High School. He and his wife, the former Emma Pettus, married on January 3, 2025. The couple resides in Florence.
