Dr. Janae Lyde serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations at UNA. She was elevated to the position on October 1, 2021 after having served as UNA’s athletic ticket manager since June of 2018. She has been with the department since 2016.

Prior to taking the position as ticket manager, she was a graduate assistant in the ticket office for two years, earning her master’s degree in sport management in 2018. She has also assisted in game day operations and marketing and promotions.

A former standout on the UNA women’s basketball team, Lyde lettered three seasons at North Alabama, earning Gulf South Conference all-tournament honors as a sophomore in the 2013-14 campaign. She played in 67 games with 48 starts, totaling 324 assists, leading the team each season. She scored 535 points with 231 rebounds and an even 100 steals.

Lyde earned her bachelor's degree in sport management from UNA in 2016. She has since added a Master's Degree in Sport Management from UNA in 2018 and a Master's of Business Administration from UNA in 2019. She completed her Doctorate of Business Administration from Trevecca Nazarene University in January 2023.
