Florence native, Megan Lovelace Dye, joined the UNA Athletics staff in August of 2013 and currently serves as Associate Athletic Director for External Relations.
Dye served as the Director of Development for Athletics from 2013-2018 before taking over athletics marketing and annual giving. She also serves as the cheer and dance squad administrator.
She graduated from Auburn University in May of 2010 with a degree in Communication and Business.
Prior to UNA, she worked as the Community Representative for the American Cancer Society from 2010-2013 where her efforts helped secure over $1 million in donations for the Shoals Area. Megan was the recipient of the 2012 Associate Commendation of Excellence Award for the MidSouth Division based on her success within the organization.
Within the UNA Athletics Department, Dye’s duties include the planning and implementation of the department’s marketing and social media initiatives, overseeing the booster club campaigns and membership, alumni engagement, and athletic donor hospitality. She developed the annual UNA Color Run, Athletics Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament, and the Lion Pride Dinner & Auction. During her time at North Alabama, the booster club has seen a 66% increase in funding.
In 2021, Dye was honored on Homecoming by the UNA National Alumni Association as "Friend of the University."
She is involved in numerous University and community projects, including serving on the planning committee of the school's celebration of The Year of the UNA Woman, a celebration of 150 years of admitting women to the institution.
Married to former UNA football standout Ches Dye, they have a son, Easton, and a daughter, Livi.
