FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama scored 12 runs in the first inning before LeMoyne-Owen could record an out and the Lions rolled to a 25-1 win over the Magicians Tuesday at Mike Lane Field.
UNA, now 12-5 overall, scored 12 runs in the first inning and added two in the second, six in the fourth, one in the fifth and four in the sixth. LeMoyne-Owen's only run scored on an error in the sixth inning.
The Lions out-hit the Magicians 15 to six and were aided by six walks, four hit batters and eight LeMoyne-Owen errors.
Starter
Dylan Stewart, one of five UNA pitchers to throw in the game, got the win for his first decision of the year (1-0). He allowed just one hit and struckout four in three innings.

UNA's 12 runs in the first inning came on five hits, five errors, five walks, one hit batter, five stolen bases and three wild pitches. A two-run triple by
Taylor Hayes made it 14-0 in the second. A
Mitchell Lovell RBI-double and three-run
Drake Tucker home run highlighted a six run fourth inning to extend the lead to 20-0. Tucker then doubled in another run in fifth and another RBI-double by Lovell in the sixth made it 22-0.
Kyle Hubbuch then crushed a three-run home run to make the final count 25-1.
Peyton Sockwell led UNA with three hits in the game. Sockwell, Lovell and
Kevin Hall scored three runs each.
UNA will travel to Cleveland, Tenn., for a three-game Gulf South Conference series against Lee this weekend.
