MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The University of North Alabama baseball team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end in a hard-fought 9-8 loss at Auburn-Montgomery.
UNA, now 7-4 overall, scored three runs in the top of the first inning but then fell behind 7-3 after two innings. AUM led 9-5 after three and was held scoreless the rest of the way as UNA added two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to pull within a run.

Davis Elliott and
Brandt Holland had four hits each for the Lions. Carter scored three runs and drove in two, while Elliott scored twice and added two RBI.
The Lions and Warhawks had 12 hits each.
UNA starter
Bryant Claunch (1-1) allowed six runs on five hits over an inning and a third. He walked three and struckout one.
Shane Priest pitched two and a third innings and gave up two runs on four hits.
Jonathan Cook and
Dylan Stewart each pitched two scoreless innings of relief and
Channing Wall pitched a scoreless eighth.
UNA hosts Shorter Saturday and Sunday in a three-game series at Mike Lane Field beginning at 1 p.m. each day.
