SWEEP OVER UAH GIVES RADECKI MILESTONE WIN

FLORENCE – A 3-0 sweep over UAH gave the University of North Alabama volleyball team a 14-3 overall record and also gave head coach Stephanie Radecki the most victories in program history. Jessica Austin and Lexie Bradley combined for 33 kills as the Lions recorded the 25-15, 25-19, 25-14 win Friday night at Flowers Hall.

The victory was No. 313 for Radecki, who passes Matt Peck for most all-time with the program.

"I have been very fortunate to work with some great coaches and coach some truly talented and dedicated players at UNA," said Radecki. "They have put me in the position to find success and represent the University well. I am honored to be a part of UNA volleyball history and thankful for all of those who helped accomplish that."

UNA also moved to 4-1 in Gulf South Conference play, moving into second place in the league standings.

Austin, a senior from Farmington Hills, Mich., turned in a match-high performance with 19 kills and a .680 hitting percentage. She added two blocks on the night as UNA improved to 56-16 in the all-time series against the Lady Chargers.

Bradley, also a senior from Florence, hit .351 with 14 kills. She also had a pair of blocks and recorded 10 digs for her first double-double of the season. Ana Gabriela Pacheco added a solid night with eight kills and a .412 hitting percentage.

Jayden Davila-McClary paced the offensive attack with 41 assists. Ashtyn Kapovich added 18 digs while Ava Carnley also reached double figures in the category with 12 digs on the night.
